Key Finding: The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) was the highest-rated online pharmacy in the United States. It beat Humana Pharmacy, Kaiser Permanente Pharmacy, OptumRx, CVS/Caremark, Cigna Home Delivery Pharmacy Program, and Aetna Rx Home Delivery. Walgreens Mail Service pharmacy was at the bottom of the list.

Conducted by J.D. Power, an organization that provides consumer reviews across several major industries. The organization was founded in 1968 and utilizes more than 800 analysts statisticians, economists, and other subject matter experts across 18 offices to gauge industry excellence.

Synopsis: The CMOP has been rated as a top online pharmacy by J.D. Power and Associates every year since 2009. The VA reported that in 2016, 119.7 million outpatient prescriptions were processed by the VA Mail Order Pharmacy. Additionally, the VA Mail Order Pharmacy processes nearly half a million prescriptions a day, with 330,000 veterans receiving their prescriptions in the mail every day.

 

Title: VA Mental Health Programs and Suicide Prevention Services Independent Evaluation

Date Released: October, 2018.

Key Finding: Veterans who used Veterans Health Administration (VHA) mental health services had decreased rates of suicidal ideation and suicide attempts.
