Brett W. Copeland

Brett W. Copeland has seen the best and worst of the federal bureaucracy and contractor workforce during his career in Washington, D.C. His experience includes being a deputy project manager at Addx Corporation, a veteran-owned small business and government contractor. While at Addx, Copeland worked primarily at the U.S. General Services Administration during a period of intense public scrutiny and transition. He assisted with internal response to the Western Regions Conference scandal and communications related to the agency-wide audit. As the communications director for the American Federation of Government Employees, AFL-CIO, Copeland coordinated response to the Office of Personnel Management data breach, and worked on issues and policy that impacted the patients and workforce at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
