In a new interview for California Psychologist magazine, entitled "When the VA Shrinks, the Field of Psychology Feels It," VHPI Senior Policy Analyst Russell Lemle discusses the serious impact that the current dismantling of the VA is having on America’s veterans, and on the mental health field more broadly.


“As the VA continues to shrink, so too will training opportunities, innovative interventions, breakthrough research, and backup for national emergencies,” Lemle explained. “We need to pay extra close attention to current developments, because once these losses occur, they will be impossible to revive.”
